Custom draperies finish a room! Whether they are the focal point or used as a backdrop, they soften and complete a room design. A versatile window treatment, panels may be designed as a stand alone treatment, hung beneath a valance, or paired with a decorative swag.

When considering finishing details for drapery panels, one might consider pleats, rod pockets, tabs, grommets, clips, fringes, trims, skirting layers, banding, button accents, cording or roping draped between pleats – options are limitless! When pleating a panel one may prefer goblet pleats, French pleats, inverted pleats, tacking at the top or base of the pleat, buttons or beads to accent the pleat. Design details depend upon the client’s preferences and objectives.

Linings play an important role in how a drapery panel hangs and functions. Unlined silk panels are light and airy, where as lined and interlined silk panels are more substantial and luxurious. Lining helps to protect the face fabric from fading and deterioration, as well as offering some temperature control. Often interlining (a flannel type layer of lining) is recommended, depending upon the face fabric. Photo Gallery.
